Well Dad, its been over 5 months since your passing and it would have been your 79th birthday in a couple of days. You are still missed by everyone. I am so glad that we were at the hospital the night you died and my daughter Laura was sitting with you right at the end. Although it was expected, the end did come so suddenly and its almost as if you waited on us coming.

You will be remembered mostly I think for your love of playing in your pipe bands, mainly the Colinton and Currie Pipe Band, Edinburgh. You played in many gala days and processions and only gave it up a few years back when it became too much for you.

When my daughter Laura was fairy queen in our gala day many years ago, you came and built her a beautiful traditional arch which she remembers to this day.

You had 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, who are all growing up fast!

Miss you dad!

You always told me how proud you were of me and I love you very much. I miss you. Im so glad that i was there at the end with you, even though i was alone,it meant so much. Im sorry i talked so much rubbish while i was in that room with you as you took your last final breath. Thank you for waiting on me before you passed. Watch over us all and keep us safe. Morning Dad! We didnt find out until just after you passed on that you taught your grandson Davids partner Lyndsay in the Livingston Pipe Band when she was young. Its a small world right enough! Lyndsay remembers you so well and so does her mum. Its been over 7 months now dad and I still cant quite believe you are gone! Laura talks about you all the time and really misses you!
